Yigit Berk is an Articling Student at Solution Law, focusing on corporate and business law, as well as commercial and residential real estate transactions.
He brings an international legal background and hands-on experience across multiple practice areas, including construction, corporate, and expropriation law.
He also aims to broaden his practice to include Intellectual Property in the future.
Before joining Solution Law, Yigit earned his law degree in Istanbul, Türkiye, where he completed a 12-month articling program at a law firm, gaining practical experience in construction, corporate, and expropriation law.
During this program, he also completed six months of mandatory courthouse rotations across various courts, such as regional, criminal, and family courts.
Following his articling, he worked for one year as a legal aid lawyer, helping clients access legal services.
After relocating to Canada, he completed the University of Alberta’s Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway Program, enhancing his understanding of Canadian legal practice and regulatory standards.
Yigit is a native Turkish speaker fluent in English, combining cross-border legal insight with a practical approach to problem-solving.
During his education, he was active in basketball, serving as team captain, and participated in multiple interschool tournaments, achieving regional success.
